I never update this journal, but I figure I should, since lots of stuff has gone down in the past few months.

Most importantly, I'm moving. Like... today. I will be without internet for a while, but then I'll be back, baby, you'll see.

The two comic pages I submitted a little while ago - 'The Future' parts one and two - are 2/3 of a short comic project I've completed now. I won't be posting the third page, as I submitted the complete thing to Memewar Magazine - you'll have to pick up the 'zine to see it in its entireity. Go on, it's free. It'll even be available for download from their website, probably.

I've got some illustration work coming out in the Vancouver Review - the upcoming Spring issue (just a quick spot illustration) and the Summer issue (hopefully a two-page centrefold spread). I'm also doing a poster for local sketch comedy geniuses The Crawford Twins, and working on producing a 'zine of my own.

How am I managing all this, you ask? Well, my darlings... I'm in a publishing program at the Purple Thistle Centre, which is just amazing. Basically, I get my living expenses covered and am provided with the resources to do a whole bunch of self-directed projects, like the poster and the 'zine, as well as a final group project with everyone else in the program. It's a really cool thing, and the Thistle is a really cool place, run by really cool people. In short, it's cool.

Oh, and I'll also finally learn how to set up a website. Yay!
